We make booking the Foolish Pleasure easy! Simply select an available date from the calendar, then a 4, 6, or 8 hour charter and proceed to checkout. You will receive a Charter Agreement and payment will be collected once the reservation is confirmed.
Once your reservation is confirmed, payment is collected based on the timing of your trip: To reserve a yacht for a single day, a $1,000 deposit or 50% of the total reservation (whichever is greater) is required when your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance. Your remaining balance is processed 7 days prior to your departure date. If your reservation is confirmed 7 days or less in advance, the total reservation is collected immediately. The Charter Agreement dictates the terms of refunds. Once a payment has been collected, it cannot be refunded. Credits may be provided in certain circumstances that may be applied toward a future charter.
In order to protect your privacy and payment information, we use one of the most trustworthy and reliable credit card processing partners. As they employ the strictest PCI requirements, it ensures that none of your sensitive information is stored on any servers. This added credit card processing security comes with higher costs, and the 3% fee goes to cover it.
NO. Because of the credit card processing partner we use and strict PCI requirements, your payment information is not stored anywhere.
The Foolish Pleasure is stocked with all of the necessities, including water, soda, ice, plates, cups and cutlery. In the cabins, you will also find towels, linens, sunscreens and other items. You are welcome to bring any additional supplies.
We recommend packing light for your day cruise. Most passengers bring bathing suits, sunglasses, boat shoes, and a change of clothes. If you're planning to dine at a waterfront restaurant after partaking in water sports, then bring anything you need to get ready, such as toiletries or styling tools. US nationals should have a valid driver's license or government ID. If you are not a US national, please have your passport. If you are prone to seasickness, bring medication. For packing purposes, we recommend soft sided duffle bag luggage that's easy to carry and doesn't need to roll over the deck.
You will work with Foolish Pleasure captain and staff to create an itinerary that includes your preferred time for dining and activities. In general, we can sail at any time as long as weather conditions and visibility are favorable.
Foolish Pleasure staff is happy to coordinate airport transportation. Please just let us know your travel schedule when making your charter reservation.
You may have a total of 12 guests aboard the Foolish Pleasure. This is due to Coast Guard law that states that no more than 12 guests can be aboard any size of chartered yacht.
Please contact us directly to discuss a Term Charter for multi-day bookings. These reservations are not made through our website, and instead through an even more secure bank transfer. You will work with Foolish Pleasure staff to create an itinerary, preference sheet, and meal and activities plan so that our crew is fully provisioned for the duration of your charter.
You may bring your own food or beverages aboard the Foolish Pleasure. Or, you can work with staff to have food delivered prior to departure, or you can even have a personal chef aboard to prepare a formal, seated dinner. Please allow more than 7 days notice if you would like to have a personalized chef prepared meal during your charter.
There are a lot of factors that dictate whether a boat can accommodate 6 or 12 people for a hired charter. Most major yachting destinations, like Miami, have a maximum of 12 guests. In order to be certified to carry more passengers, the vessel must be inspected and certified by the Coast Guard.
Foolish Pleasure automatically includes a gratuity charge of 15% of your total trip cost. If you would like to add more, you are welcome to give the captain a cash tip at the end of the charter. All tips are split accordingly between the captain and crew.
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own alcohol and food aboard. You can also work with Foolish Pleasure staff to have certain items ordered and onboard ahead of your departure. You can also have a personal chef aboard to make fresh meals.
